The medical term for high blood glucose sugar, is hyperglycemia, which occurs when our bodies have too little insulin or not enough insulin or it is not using the insulin in right manner.
Blood sugar level above 200 mg / dL, may indicate hyperglycemia.

Causes of Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar):
Main factors that cause hyperglycemia are:

High blood sugar levels have just a few or no symptoms at all. Following are common hyperglycemia symptoms:

1. If any of these hyperglycemia signs and symptoms appear, you should check your blood sugar levels. If the result is normal, then in this case you can use home test kit for monitoring glucose and ketones.
2. Have a urine test. If the urine test is positive, your body may began to make changes that lead to diabetic ketoacidosis. At this stage it is desirable to see a doctor to reduce the blood sugar level.

Steps you need to take in case of Hyperglycemia:
1. You have to eat less and do not drink any thing that has sugar.
2. Consult your doctor or dietitian if they find it hard to adjust to your food.
3. Take your medicines as prescribed by your doctor.
4. Exercise, because it is an effective means of reducing blood sugar, but I have some reservations, because the presence of ketones in the urine can cause blood sugar levels even higher.
